First Visit

At your initial appointment you will be able to meet our team and Dr. Barrett. The first appointment typically includes reviewing your medical and dental history. Next we will update any needed x-rays. Then Dr. Barrett will meet with you, perform a thorough examination, and discuss your treatment options. Many times we are able to start a cleaning and simple treatment at your first appointment. We also make every effort to see same-day emergency patients.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your appointment:

  • Any x-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.
  • A list of medications you are presently taking.
  • If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card and the necessary completed forms. This will save time and allow us to help you process claims faster.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment (i.e., artificial heart valves artificial joints, rheumatic fever, cancer, chemotherapy, radiation, osteoporosis, etc.) or if you are currently taking any medication (i.e., heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, bone medicines, etc.).

X-Rays

If you have old x-rays, you may request that your previous dentist forward them to our office. If you are not able to get your old x-rays that is ok. Many times updated or additional x-rays are necessary and can be taken at our office.
